Dry Land

I had been lost for sometime. Drifting aimlessly through a life that I despised. Confined by the vastness of the saltwater around– anxiety lurking like sharks.

The shame of existing was suffocating. I was drowning in mistakes and self rejection with no relief in sight. The only land I had to rest on were fleeting pleasures.

I was worn.

I came upon an island recently. Finding in it a forest full of fruiting compassion. The land is fertile for growth, blossoming flowers of every kind whose variety show ever color. The wild life is free to play and explore.

I will stay here for sometime.
