Where were you during the storm?
My broken heart could barely stand
It was Alone; battered and worn
You were the only one who could understand
I thought you were you in the storm with me
But if you are to be the guide
That affirms my eyes
Then the tumultuous waves inside will never subside.
Where were you during my storm?
I was drowning and you stood there
With glimmers of care in your stare
But unable to settle on something; neither here nor there
Where?
Where?
Where was I?
Was I there with confidence by myside? I can’t lie; I tried.
But I failed by the way side of the dwindling tide.
Oh, My Pride
I shouldn’t have leaned on you
I confused you for my rest or my bed
So I will live with doing what I should have done
And rely on me instead
